Alerts now come to Telegram
The alert goes out at 22:31. It gets read at 08:10 the next morning, somewhere behind a hardware store receipt and four newsletters you meant to unsubscribe from.
Alerts now go to Telegram as well. Two taps to connect, and every alert you already have set up starts arriving in the chat.
Why email wasn’t enough
For three years I thought the job ended when the mail was sent. I had the logs to prove it went: every alert, every recipient, every timestamp. Delivered, delivered, delivered.
Delivered isn’t read. Email is where things go to be dealt with later — that’s the whole social contract of email. Asking it to carry something time-sensitive is asking it to be a thing it isn’t.

A little behind. Not wrong — the number on the board was real, and by the time you read it, it described a market that no longer existed. An unread alert is the same thing. It isn’t a signal. It’s a fact about the past.
So: Telegram
Open your profile, hit the Telegram button, tap the link. The link is good for 15 minutes — it’s what proves the chat is yours, so it shouldn’t sit in a browser tab from last Tuesday.
Nothing to reconfigure. Standard 70/30 crossings, custom thresholds on paid plans, and FX pairs with the add-on all route to the chat. Two commands:
/list— every alert you have running, with a button to remove any of them/help— what your plan covers and where your limits are
/list is the one I use. Deleting a stale alert from a phone, ten seconds after noticing it’s stale, turned out to matter more than I expected. The alerts I never cleaned up were making every other alert mean less.
Telegram won’t fire if email fails
In this first version the chat message goes out after the email succeeds. The mailer is still the thing that decides an alert happened. So if email delivery to you breaks, Telegram goes quiet with it instead of covering.
That’s not how it should work and it won’t stay that way. Two roads out of the building was the point; one road with a passenger wasn’t. You’d rather hear it from me now than work it out during the week it matters.
The bot will tell you that RSI on something you watch closed at 28.4. It won’t tell you to buy it. Livingston spent four hundred pages learning to distrust anyone who claimed otherwise, and he still died broke.
